The Gallery : A Smile

This is possibly my favourite picture of my eldest granddaughter.
She was 11 months old at the time and she had just eaten a marshmallow cake.

When first heard the prompt for this weeks Gallery post I was reminded of a single line from a cartoon I used to watch with the children a few years ago.  The cartoon was Rolie Polie Olie and the expression was "TURN THAT FROWN RIGHT SIDE ROUND".  For some reason, that one line has stuck with me (I can't even remember if it was a recurring theme or just a one-off episode) and I always think of it when I'm a little bit down.

Smiling is infectious
You catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too.
I passed around a corner
And someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realised
I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about the smile
And realised its worth.
A single smile like mine
Could travel round the Earth.
If you feel a smile begin
Don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick
And get the world infected
