Sally over at "Who's The Mummy?" complies and publishes a list of the UK's Top (Parent) Bloggers each month.  The "scoring system" is wonderful for statistics geeks and you can read all about how the rankings are created if that is what floats your boat.  The list is created to find fantastic blogs to read and to highlight the most popular and influential bloggers writing in the UK today.


I'm all for a bit of blatant self-promotion so I submitted my blog address somewhere around the end of January and just carried on spewing out the crap writing the random posts that you keep returning to read.


Imagine my surprise when I checked the list this month and found myself as a NEW ENTRY at number 44!!!


YIPPEE!!!
(*cue canned applause*)


I know this doesn't mean a lot to you as a reader but, for me, it validates a great deal about what I write, who reads it and everything else in between.  It also clears up a few doubts I've had over the past week about taking on too much with work, studying, family stuff and writing.


So that it, basically!  I write, you read.  All I ask of you is to keep reading and, if you like what you are reading, Tweet the link, share it on Facebook, email it to your friends, Stumble it, Digg it... (using the share facility at the bottom of each post is the easiest way) and keep returning for more.  And thanks for taking the time out of your day to read these posts *gushy moment over now*  Also, check out the other blogs on the top 100 list - there's some amazing people out there.

26 Bands From The 80's : Where Are They Now?

[REVIEW] Canvas print from PrinterPix

Whilst dabbling in a bit of (very) amateur photography I occasionally have a favourite photo printed onto canvas.  It's usually a scenery picture and used to brighten up the walls in the lounge or at a focal point on the stairs.  Most recently I have had two images put through the process by PrinterPix . I sent off an image of my son after his Territorial Army passing out parade in April (proud parent moment) and one of our dog on the beach from a few months ago.  They were returned within a few days and looked even better than I had imagined. Soldier Boy is on a canvas that is 16" x 20" on a standard thickness (2cm) frame.  Michi is on a 12" x 16" canvas which is stretched onto a thickeer (4cm) frame.  Both have been printed using a gloss finish.   All canvases from PrinterPix are hand-stretched, use fade-resistant ink and tension wedges are fitted into the corners of each frame to aid stability. 7 Things To Do In Roda, Corfu

This year, our summer holiday took us to Corfu. We were staying in Roda on the north coast of the island and had a wonderful time. It's a beautiful Greek fishing village and has the most chilled and welcoming atmosphere I've ever experienced.  I'd love to share my recommended seven things to do if you visit Roda. Sunset over Roda harbour Swimming With The Fishes The coastline at Roda is completely flat so you can walk out quite a distance and still only be in shallow water.  The beach in the village is very sandy but becomes rocky as you move out of town towards some of the beach front hotels (twenty paces out to sea, it becomes sandy again).
