Personalised Gifts From Norma & Dorothy

I'm a sucker for anything personalised! I think it must stem from my love of stationery and the fact that I used to love having my name on everything so that (a) no-one could steal it and (b) it made it absolutely unique. I used to love it when my children bought me anything with "Mum" on it and, until recently, my favourite mug was a gift from my grandchildren that sported the moniker "Super Nan" (I was careless and dropped it so I'm putting a request in for a new one).

Norma & Dorothy is a company that specialises in wedding stationery.  They pride themselves on being able to take the stress out of wedding stationery with their professional design team and high-quality finished products and have been featured in a number of wedding magazines, including Vogue Brides.

But their website also offers a selection of personalised gifts and cards and stationery for many other occasions which means that you can select something for a friend or family member that they couldn't find anywhere else. I'm a huge fan of candles and now I'm the owner of my own personalised scented candle with a Manchester worker bee symbol and have had a tealight holder engraved with our "family tree".

I'm also loving their personalised notebooks however they are filled with plain paper rather than lined or dot grid. The paper is extremely good quality though at 100gsm. There is a selection of hard covers with metal spiral spines and soft covers.  You can choose the foil colouring for the personalisation and add a matching metallic pen for a few extra pounds.

Finally, I can really recommend their slate coasters.  I have one for my desk at work (again, with my name on) and one just to the left of where I sit in the lounge (engraved with "Nickie's Gin & Tonic") but there's a huge selection of ideas on the website to get you started.

Everything comes beautifully and carefully packaged (tissue paper and bubble wrap) and 4 tealights were included with the tealight holder which was a lovely addition to the gift. I'll give Norma & Dorothy a mention in a future Christmas gift guide (yes, I said the C word before the end of September!) so keep an eye out for more recommendations but this is a great site to bookmark for teacher gifts and birthday present for that "hard to buy" friend or family member.
