My Diary For 2023

Every year I write a blog post about which diary system or set up I am going to use for the following twelve months. In recent years, I have moved away from a Filofax (I trialled something earlier this year - more of that in a minute) and fallen in love with the Hobonichi printed diaries. For the last two years I have used a Hobonichi Weeks as my personal planner and I won't be deviating from that this year. I have tried a Hobonichi Techo A6 a couple of times but have never managed to feel comfortable with it size-wise.  I have always lusted after the Hobonichi Cousin A5 as a main work planner so, this year, I have bitten the bullet at launch time and invested in my very first one. Hobonichi Weeks The Hobonichi Weeks is a slim diary with a yearly, monthly and weekly layout. The main section is a "week to view with notes" and there are an additional 70 note pages at the back. Win A Pair Of Treads School Shoes

Treads School Shoes

Earlier this year I partnered with Treads Shoes who organised a pair of school shoes for my granddaughters.  Treads is a British company that makes high quality, indestructible, leather school shoes for boys and girls aged between 6 and 16. I was keen to see how their 12-month guarantee would hold up because, aside from foot growth, they promise that the playground-ready school shoes would last for a full school year.

The girls chose the Brisbane Mary Jane and the Alberta Mary Jane styles (both currently priced at £45) and my daughter followed the fitting instructions provided on the website to measure their feet.

Ordering school shoes online in the current climate is going to become more popular and convenient so this is a perfect time to check out the ranges offered by Treads shoes ready for the return to school in September.

I'm also pleased to be able to offer you the chance to win a pair of Treads school shoes ready for the new term.  You can enter in the widget below - the main entry is to sign up to the Treads mailing list, and you can gain some additional entries by interacting on social media.  Dead simple but let me know if you need any help. Oh, and GOOD LUCK!

Here's some additional information about Treads Shoes.

Treads shoes are constructed using the ‘Strobel’ technique – the upper is placed into a mould and the sole is injected around it to create a strong, flexible unit that does not require glue. Further features include reinforced heels and seams, and shock absorbing insoles.

To accommodate growing feet, a removable EVA footbed allows extra room and depth increasing the width from a standard to wide fitting.

Founded by Simon Locke, Treads is now part of the BVG GROUP Ltd, a multichannel online retailer based in Brecon in Wales, which sells over 400,000 shoes a year through its established brands Samuel Windsor and Clifford James. As well as being sold on the official Treads website and through BVG Group catalogues, the range is also available on Amazon.
