How online dating can help you meet someone who shares your lifestyle

When you have children, strong religious views or a cultural heritage that is very important to you, you may want to only meet other singles who share your lifestyle. You might be wondering how you will meet these people and whether you will find someone instantly attractive. You may have heard about pheromones and are asking yourself "What are pheromones?" (answer : they are secreted by way of swear and saliva and can stimulate arousal, desire and lust). But where do you meet these people? Through your place of worship? Through shared groups. There is another option...

Signing up to a dating site can allow you to meet people who share your values. Here are some examples of how online dating can help you find that special someone.

Meeting someone who shares your faith

online dating
If your religion is important to you and you want to find someone special who shares your faith, online dating sites can help you narrow down your search. If you want to meet other Christian singles, the online database will match you with potential partners based on important values like kindness, spirituality, family goals and traditionalism.

It is easy to find people who are looking for the same things in life as you are – focussing on what is truly important in a relationship.

Searching for a particular ethnicity

If you have a strong cultural heritage and finding someone of the same ethnicity is important to you, you can search for singles who have the same background as you.

For example, if you are exclusively looking for Pakistani relationships eHarmony can help you find a tailor-made match, while narrowing the profiles down to those of Pakistani origin.

If you are looking for Pakistani love in the UK, online dating sites will help you find people who you share values, beliefs and attitudes with.

When searching for potential partners the sites will match you up with people who have been brought up with the same religious and cultural practices, speak the same languages and have the same family expectations as you.

Meeting other single parents

online dating
If you are a single parent, it can be hard to maintain a relationship with somebody who doesn’t have children, as they may not understand where your priorities lie. Online dating sites have areas that are dedicated to single parents, enabling you to connect with someone who is mature and understands how hard it can be to make time for a relationship.

Dating online can be a much easier solution when looking for a partner, because you can find people from the comfort of your own home and you can network with people in your own time.

Be upfront about your needs and priorities in your profile and you will find people who respect and understand your lifestyle. You can take your time talking to people over email before meeting with them, so you can help to ensure that you won’t be wasting your time when you decide to go out for a first date.

If you are looking to meet singles who fit in with your lifestyle, online dating can be a great way to narrow down your search. Be upfront about what is important to you and what you need out of a relationship and before you know it you could be sharing a fantastic date with someone special!

26 Bands From The 80's : Where Are They Now?

The other day, whilst out with my husband , I was listening to some UB40 in the car and wondered what they were up to now.  Then I saw this post from Buzzfeed and realised I totally needed to steal that idea.   BUT the problem with doing a "Where Are They Now" of the 80s is that they are either dead, accountants (dead accountants?) or in their mid 50's and, having realised they have snorted their pension up their nose, are dragging themselves onto the Reunion Tour concert circuit. So here are my chosen few that form my A-Z of 80's 'Where Are They Now?'   Do you fancy adding any of your own? Art Of Noise.   Last seen looking for Peter Gunn and desperately hoping that Tom Jones tells a "I know A rt Of Noise" story about them on The Voice. Billy Idol.   Currently setting off airport alarms all over the world after having a steel rod inserted into his leg following a motorbike accident in 1990.  Practicing Rebel Yell on Guitar Her...

[REVIEW] Canvas print from PrinterPix

Whilst dabbling in a bit of (very) amateur photography I occasionally have a favourite photo printed onto canvas.  It's usually a scenery picture and used to brighten up the walls in the lounge or at a focal point on the stairs.  Most recently I have had two images put through the process by PrinterPix . I sent off an image of my son after his Territorial Army passing out parade in April (proud parent moment) and one of our dog on the beach from a few months ago.  They were returned within a few days and looked even better than I had imagined. Soldier Boy is on a canvas that is 16" x 20" on a standard thickness (2cm) frame.  Michi is on a 12" x 16" canvas which is stretched onto a thickeer (4cm) frame.  Both have been printed using a gloss finish.   All canvases from PrinterPix are hand-stretched, use fade-resistant ink and tension wedges are fitted into the corners of each frame to aid stability. What do you think?  I'm in l...

7 Things To Do In Roda, Corfu

This year, our summer holiday took us to Corfu. We were staying in Roda on the north coast of the island and had a wonderful time. It's a beautiful Greek fishing village and has the most chilled and welcoming atmosphere I've ever experienced.  I'd love to share my recommended seven things to do if you visit Roda. Sunset over Roda harbour Swimming With The Fishes The coastline at Roda is completely flat so you can walk out quite a distance and still only be in shallow water.  The beach in the village is very sandy but becomes rocky as you move out of town towards some of the beach front hotels (twenty paces out to sea, it becomes sandy again). The water is generally very calm, beautifully warm and clear enough to see the occasional fish swimming by.   Chill out at the Boathouse As we walked down from our hotel, The Boathouse was one of the first bars we stopped at before continuing into Roda. It is perfectly placed between the rural coastal road that l...
